Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms govern your use of Modus, an AI co-founder tool available at themodus.app ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Modus helps founders validate ideas, build plans and pitches, and explore funding, with the help of AI. It is provided by Modus, an early-stage product based in Greece.

2. Beta

Modus is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're actively improving it and welcome your feedback.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Modus.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: breaking the law, infringing others' rights, uploading content you have no right to share, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or using it to generate harmful, abusive or illegal content.

5. AI output — not professional advice

Modus generates AI-assisted suggestions. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is not legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. You are responsible for verifying information and for any decisions you make. Always consult a qualified professional before acting on important matters.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit (your messages, files and startup details). You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide and improve the Service. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

7. Free plan & limits

The free plan includes a monthly message limit. We may change plans, limits, or pricing as the product develops; we'll give reasonable notice of material changes.

8. Termination

You can stop using Modus and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Modus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or its output. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under applicable law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as Modus evolves. We'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
