Our story
Why we built Modus
Before Modus, we tried to build a few startups of our own. Some of them we really believed in.
None of them made it. And looking back, it usually came down to the same two things. Sometimes we hadn't done the maths properly — we underestimated the costs, overestimated the revenue, and ran out of room before we found our footing. Other times the idea was fine, but we simply didn't have the knowledge to make it work. We didn't know how to validate it, how to plan it, or where to look for the right kind of support.
What hurt the most wasn't the failing. It was realising afterwards that the information we needed had been out there the whole time. We just didn't know where to find it, or how to put it together.
That's the gap Modus is here to close. We're building the co-founder we wish we'd had — one that helps you check your numbers before they sink you, and gives you the knowledge that usually only comes from years of trial and error.
Our vision
Where we're headed
We believe most startups don't fail because the idea was bad. They fail because the people behind them were missing something — a number they didn't check, a step they didn't know to take, a door they couldn't find.
We want to change that. Not by replacing founders, but by standing next to them. Modus is meant to be the calm, honest voice in the room — the one that asks the hard questions early, points you to the right resources, and helps you make decisions with clear eyes instead of guesswork.
We're starting in Greece and the EU because this is home, and because founders here have always had to work twice as hard with half the support. But the goal is bigger than that: to make the knowledge that builds companies available to anyone, in their own language, whenever they need it.
A world where a good idea isn't lost just because someone didn't have the right knowledge at the right time. That's what we're building toward.
